Rye House Practice

Sorry about the delay on posting, but I've been very busy doing homework (well, getting detentions for the lack of it).

Anyway, here is the report from the Station 165 practice day organised by Mike - unfortunately I didn't have time to take many pictures.

Jamie's ever evolving 'Bastard' (an 80s XR600) was there with new lowered ZZR forks, a new front wheel, and a cut down seat. It made a world of difference acorrding to Jamie, but I still refused a ride...  Jamie, if you are reading this, please email me the 'Bastard Cam' footage.

Tim and Tom Neave were there (on their birthdays as well) and as usual were embarrasing everyone else. Above is Tim's team Suzuki 450. One of the nicest DTX bikes in the pits.

Lez Stevens of Station 165 was on top form.

Scotty (Dad) was experimenting on tire pressures and decided that they needed to be more than the 15 psi he had them at. He will possibly be replacing his dragster-wide rear wheel for a skinnier one. Dave's 'constructive' critisism helped a lot.

My highlight of the day was finally getting a go on Dave Homan's YZF450. I can see why people use them instead of framers. Above is Dave with his 1st place trophy for STUK's club championship, round 2, Rye House.

Once the track had closed, the Sation 165 team went to the Rye house Tavern to have a pint (exept me, who had a Coke), which was luckily right next to the car park, as my left leg felt as though it was going to tear off. The banter/piss taking was plentiful. Bring on Silverstone. FS.
